New Mexico Chili
The Land of Enchantment is known for its majestic landscapes, exquisite art, culture and chili. Our Grandparent's are from Alcalde and Ohkay Owingeh area. Formally know as San Juan. Back in 1956 Fabian and Rae Martinez moved to Utah and brought the tastes of New Mexico with them. When ever they traveled back home to NM they would bring back all the goods to Utah. As more people asked for chili. They began to sell it along with many other goods. Today my husband and I like keeping the tradition that started so many decades ago. We hope you enjoy.

Native American Culture
Pueblo Kachina Dancers
New Mexico has 19 Pueblo tribes. Each tribe has it's individual name. Here is a picture of the Ohkay Owingeh tribe's Buffalo Dance. The dance is done during the tribe annual " Feast Day". This is one of the times the Pueblo is open to the public to come celebrate. Other tribes also host a "Feast Day" the good news is they are not all the same time of year. Pueblos have feast days throughout the year. You would have to check the website of each tribe as they each hold their own celebrations.
Spanish History
The Spanish first arrived in New Mexico in 1540 with the expedition led by Conquistador Francisco Vásquez de Coronado
